One of our favorite gay couples, Kordale and Caleb, have decided to diverge their paths on the ever-confusing road of life.
Which is to say they’ve broken up. Sad face.
The two propelled to internet gay fame when a photo of them getting their two daughters ready for school went viral, inspiring viewers with an honest depiction of modern family.
As you can see in this post, all the photos of the couple have been removed from their popular Instagram page except for the one that started it all.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“My love for them will always prevail even if ‘Daddy’ and I are no longer together,” Caleb said in a statement to fans.
‘Truthfully, [the kids] are the ONLY reason I am sad to leave and move on.”
He continued, “You should never have to question your worth or [compromise] your morals when you’re with your soulmate; it doesn’t work out that way … I am happy to be ‘Caleb’ again.”
“I still love him,” Caleb said of Kordale. “I’m willing to start over with MYSELF and find who I really am.”
“I cannot sit here and act like I was not part of the demise of ‘KordalenKaleb,’ but at no point do I or anyone else deserve to be disrespected the way I was and to continue it on while we’re together as a family on vacation.”
We don’t know the details, but we wish the two and their kids all the best.

Damn shame… but, that’s life for you. It’s just that now, we have social media that people use to show the good sides of their lives and hide the bad sides, and it becomes more about preserving an image rather than a relationships. But, I’m talking out of my ass because I have no idea about the intricate details of their relationships. We love, we fight, and we move on from “loves”, just like everyone else.
I’ll say the same thing to gay couples that I would to a straight couple that has kids: keep that shit civil, and don’t get messy, because it’s THEM that end up suffering more.

Shocker! (Not)
Ladbrook
Well, that’s unfortunate, especially for the kids. As someone who came of age prior to the social media age, I still find it odd that people feel the need to share their lives (or up to 95% of their lives) online with thousands or even millions of total strangers.
Yet another reason why living large on Instagram isn’t always a good thing.

@Ladbrook:
They’ll be asking for privacy via a statement read by their publicist at a news conference later. Live coverage on TODAY, followed by analysis with Kathie Lee and Hoda.

Everyone forgets about the children ,,

Sad-I’d like to see at least one public couple to last
sportyguy1983
So why exactly are people “fans” of their’s? What have they done to gain “fame” other than post intimidate pics of their family (pics that they really should only be posting for their family and close friends to view?

I really feel for the children. I wonder if the foster home people are going to ask them if they want to be place with another gay couple or strait. Or were they even asked or if they even have a choice in the matter? hmmmm…….
To bad the kids aren’t old enough to go online and let us know who “out punked whom” in the relationship.
Prinny
And this is news how?
Billy Budd
What happens to dthe kids? I remember they released a book about them and lots of other products. They wanted to cash in from their family. And now it is over.
Xzamilio
@Prinny: Half the time, Queerty is running articles on dudes in underwear, tight abs, or drag queens? Are you REALLY coming here for “news”? Fucking bye… Associated Press is a URL away, sweetness.

@sportyguy1983: People are fans because they were a young, very attractive (hot) gay male couple who were raising children and looked to be succeeding in doing so. That’s why.
It’s just like the enthusiasm most people have for a straight, attractive couple raising a family. Straight coupled families sell millions of magazines, fill TV shows, etc.
As a black gay couple with kids they faced long odds anyway, and living their lives on social media like this was just raising the odds, unfortunately.
BlackBanshee
No matter how blissful or exemplary a relationship may seem, I have never ever supported the idea of publicizing a relationship on social media.
It often ends up in messy shit like this! I saw this coming. We may not know the full details as to what happened exactly (although I am sure many of us can pretty much guess from Caleb’s statements!) but I can bet you being on social media played a significant role in it.
Someone definitely “disrespected” the other… and shamelessly on a family vacation! It’s always the same damn reason smh.
KEEP your damn relationships off Instagram people!
You never learn!
Bob LaBlah
@BlackBanshee: As a black gay couple raising two kids (girls) the controversy surrounding this in the black community would have made a great reality show with black church members tuning in to every episode to fish for things to preach about in church on Sunday. I felt all along that was why they broadcast this all over creation (social medai, that is).
If they and the kids are still together then this is another episode they are clandestinely shopping to the cable networks. The Kardashians have no idea how they are responsible for a lot of the zaniness people are doing nowadays to get on television to talk about absolutely NOTHING. And by the way, has any one else notice how that picture looks as though he is getting head? Another picture could have been used. That looks downright tacky and should have aroused the suspicions of the “gay adopted kids police” on social media. I’m sure such a force has to exist by now.
Avery Alvarez
I didn’t like how they refused to acknowledge their relationship to the children.
The whole, “pretending we’re just good friends” really turned me off from these two.
BigG
Basically one wanted to be open, the other didn’t. The fastest way to kill your relationship is having kids. Gay or straight.
Jandrooey
Hahahahaha! I mean … that’s horrible. I hope they’re both fine.

@Ladbrook:
When you put fame over family it isn’t a surprise that they didn’t last.
My parents have been married 51 years and raised 3 children. If my parents spent so much time snapping photos, being popular on social media and “presenting” an image for their followers I’m not sure how they could have ever lived authentic lives and raised a family.
Not sure how these 2 guys ever had time to be a family. They seemed to enjoy playing the part and being picture perfect. That isn’t life.

@sportyguy1983:
You are so smart!! I love you.
meghanada
They went viral due to Black Twitter’s hysteria against them.
money718
Lmao
jwtraveler
It’s just sad, especially for the kids, but that’s what divorce is.
BlogShag
@sportyguy1983: , Because they are very sexy, And one could easily pass as a white person. DUH…
meghanada
I wouldn’t feel too sorry for the kids. Those guys even told the public that the girls were unaware that the two of them were a couple.
(Mind you, I think that’s a bald faced lie to appease the Black Twitter mob, but if it isn’t, then those girls are not suffering from being separated from one of their parents since they don’t see him as a parent.)
tford216
@BlogShag: Who could pass for white? I guess white people fall for that. They both look black to me.
Thor2015
@Avery Alvarez: whoa what? I must have missed that one!!!!
Thor2015
@BigG: the fastest way to kill a relationship is to want an open one. Kids had nothing to do with this.

LOL…..EXACTLY!!!!!!!
Prinny
@Blackceo: Ok you’re right.
tford216
@meghanada: You crazy. Black twitter is young and not homophobic. You need to stop.
Masc Pride
@sportyguy1983: I was totally thinking the same thing when I saw “fans”. These two are total attention-whores, and I read their kids don’t even know they’re a couple. Seems kind of weird they were so public with their relationship with everyone but their own kids.
tford216
@Masc Pride: I dont disagree that the two were fame whores but at their age who isn”t. But I doubt that the kids were kept in the dark. The way they were cuddled up in photos the kids had to know.
SonOfKings
People need to stop thinking of children as lifestyle accessories. Anything for fame and attention.
Masc Pride
@tford216: Then why not just tell them? Everybody has their own parenting style, so I’m totally not criticizing them as parents. It’s just kind of weird to be so public with your Instagram “fans” when you haven’t been open with your own kids.
alphamaleii
its a shame now they were such a awesome couple & just as awesome family now !! lets just hope & pray that they find a solution for their overall happiness again in the future now !!
meghanada
@tford216: Black twitter is extremely homophobic, and I saw the backlash against this couple as it played out.
Billy Budd
WHo is gonna stay with the kids? I hope they won’t go to foster homes.
