All across the nation, Americans are casting votes in one of the most historic midterm elections of our time. Not only is there a huge voter turnout, but there are a record number of LGBTQ candidates, female candidates, and minority candidates on this year’s ballots.
Of course, one of our favorite parts about election day–aside from participating in our democracy, that is–are those cute little “I Voted” stickers they hand out after you’ve cast your ballot. We wear those babies with pride!

It took me longer to drive to #Biddeford from #Portland, stop to get gas, grab a coffee, and eat a bag of gummy bears than it did to vote. Hell, it’s going to take me longer to write this post than it did to vote. It’s important. There are plenty of ways to invoke change, we see it on the news and on our timelines everyday. Today is important because it gives all of us a chance to be a part of that change. Please take the five minutes to go and be the change you want to see. Spreading your political views on social media is meaningless if you don’t actually go to the polls. #Mainers I.e. people in #Maine you still have time. If you haven’t registered, you’re in luck, in Maine you can register until the booths close tonight. Go out there and vote! Make yourself and those who are fighting for change on a daily basis proud! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #voting #vote #midtermelections #votingmatters #nov6 #novemberelection #elections #instagay #instagram #bluewave #gay #lgbt #instaboy #voterregistration #ivoted #tuesdaymotivation #voterselfie #selfie #nofilter #thirsty #onesie #votingmatters
