The Windy City becomes the Kinky City every Memorial Day weekend as thousands of S&M enthusiasts come to town for the annual International Mr. Leather competition. The pageant brings leather folk from all over and culminates in the crowning of one man with the title of Mr. Leather.
This year the winner was Woody Woodruff (above) from Farmington Hills, Michigan, who beat out 49 other hopefuls for the coveted title and a $5,000 travel package from Orbitz. For the rest of the year, Woody will bear the bruises of representing the entire leather community..
The event took over the Chicago Hyatt for the entire weekend, with complete with a leather market exhibition leading up to the competition on Sunday. Comedians Sharon McNight and Bruce Vilanch provided entertainment to the 17,000 attendees and Karen Ultra and John Pedal acted as emcees.

@jason: I have had quite a few friends in the leather community, and I will say that none of them are as bitter and judgmental as you. If you represent the non-leather community (which thankfully you do not) I will gladly support them because I do not support the right of anyone to believe that they are better than everyone else (which apparently you do).

LMAO “Leather” and contests like IML are total jokes and have been ever since they started.
They’re all about guys who are not masculine at all and who don’t know the first thing about being masculine wearing very expensive leather, parading around on stage, and it’s like a Miss America for leather queens complete with “men” getting bitchy at each other.
Most people who go to IML could care less about the silly posturing and contest, and just go there to hook up.

Just when you thought IML couldn’t get any worse from the year they had a T R A N N Y compete and win the IML title.
Chuck Renslow is no friend to the LGB community. His bath house where lots of men use meth and bareback, and IML are just about him making tons of money.
I agree that IML is not about the contest but it’s about hooking up and I know tons of leathermen who go there just so they can get gang fucked or fisted raw, or shoot hot cum into someone’s ass that’s taken lots of loads.
