Pro wrestler Anthony Bowens made headlines in March 2017 when he came out as bisexual. Now, the 28-year-old is making headlines again.
In a new video titled “COMING OUT… again” Bowen says that, after giving it some more thought, the term “bisexual” doesn’t really apply to him.
“The main purpose of this video is to tell everybody that I prefer to be labeled now as gay,” he says.
Bowens says he originally came out as bi because “I really didn’t know much about the LGBTQ community.”
How about we take this to the next level?

“As you get older, your viewpoints change,” he continues. “The way you look at the world changes, the way you look at yourself changes.”
Bowens says seeing articles about himself with the label “bisexual” attached to his name helped him understand the term wasn’t quite right.
“The articles kept labeling me as ‘bisexual’, and it was kind of annoying me that they had to continually put what I was, I couldn’t just be a professional wrestler, I was the ‘bisexual pro wrestler’ but I just wasn’t identifying with that term any more.”
He says he realizes there will be because who make the tired old “bi now gay later” joke about him, but he’s not concerned about them.

Jokes aside, tell us again how that “bi now, gay later” cynicism is just so untrue, so misguided, so unfair.

Well….do you disbelieve in the existence of straight people? More gays and lesbians pretend to be straight before they come out than they do bisexual. Do you have cynicism about heterosexuality? I doubt it.

Dark-no such thing as a bisexual man over 30-they almost always end up gay UNLESS still brainwashed by religious kookery

-yawn- Is Anthony still wrestling? Where? Any notable successes lately?
It’s great to be who you are. What are you doing?

Glad to hear he’s continuing his journey of coming out as gay. It can be a process for some of us.

L M FUKING A O!! There’s even another video to go with this? Lol lol lol!! Like the first time was all good… But this + the video and ridiculous title? “ATTENTION!!!”
On the plus side, I am glad about his discovery. Hope he sticks with this one…. or not. Not my business really.

Many a guy; having issues with his sexuality, has considered “BiLand” as his nation of citizenship because he wasn’t totally gay and he was still somewhat straight……..and then he realizes the only time he has noticed a female in the past 8 months was when some girl at work was wearing FABULOUS new shoes. And then he immigrates to “GayVille”.
I’m not saying “BiLand” isn’t real. “BiLand” is totally real. What I’m saying is, “BiLand” sees a bunch of guys who are just passing through.

I mean, fluidity does have some legitimacy for many. And “bi” will always be a difficult thing to live up to, especially if you’re in a serious relationship and truly in love and settled. No matter your sex life or your attractions, unless you have sustained and persistent romantic, sexual, emotional passions/affections towards men and women and could see yourself being truly content in a relationship with a man or woman “bi” does often become more of a burden. That’s especially as you age and gain more understanding of your nuances and what you want.
Very few seem interested in going the “gay bisexual” or “gay pansexual” route. So, you end up with multiple coming outs and also a lot of people going with very vague thing like queer or fluid. The good thing is that we are returning to less and less people looking at orientation and identity as something strictly scientific or something directly connected to behavior. While more people are seeing “gay” and “straight” as having their own nuances and their own spectrums.

While it wasn’t a shock to anyone who saw/followed his Instagram postings of Anthony and his boyfriend, I’m glad he finally found the courage to be true to himself.
