Bond-ing?

That time Daniel Craig kissed Rami Malek… Wait, what?

Daniel Craig as James Bond

Oscar-winner Rami Malek has revealed a very peculiar anecdote from the set of his new film, the latest in the long-running James Bond series.

No Time To Die marks the 25th installment in the Bond franchise, and features Daniel Craig returning as the iconic James Bond. Malek will play the villain in the movie, whose name and origin has yet to be publicly disclosed.

Nevertheless, in an interview with Stephen Colbert, Malek did disclose that he’d locked lips with Craig on set, apparently after Malek had a moment of creative inspiration.

“We had this scene that was a very complicated scene and we were rehearsing for it with our terrific director, Cary Fukunaga,” Malek explained. “And, we were sitting at a table over hours just batting about ideas back and forth. And we finally cracked this really challenging scene.”

“He grabbed me, picked me up — and I can’t tell if I initiated the next moment, if it was him or I — but, a kiss transpired between the two of us. And I’m gonna say that Daniel initiated it and I was very taken aback.”

Malek added “I took a moment, caught my breath, and I looked out and said, ‘So, does this make me a Bond Girl?'”

Pssh, why ask? Just enjoy the moment. No Time To Die opens in cinemas April 8, 2020.
