Life, they say, is change — and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan would likely agree.
The body transformation he underwent for his upcoming film Dangal is definitely a sight to see.
“Though I went through body building to get a certain look for my film, this (Dangal) one was one of the most dramatic body transformations so far,” he says.

How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
That’s pretty evident in the video below.
As Hindustan Times reports, the film has two distinct phases.
“For one part,” Khan says, “I had to put on weight. So, I weighed 96 kgs with 38 percent body fat ,and that I had to reduce to 9 per cent body fat within five months. That was a huge task.”
It wasn’t all that good for him, either.
“I would like to mention that putting on weight and losing it so fast is very unhealthy,” he says. “I did it for my film under the supervision of experts, but it is very unhealthy for any regular person.”

Doctors have warned him not to pull such wizardry again, but he’s not making any promises.
“When you put on weight,” he says, “it affects your breathing and body language. That naturally reflects on your performance. You cannot get that from a bodysuit.”
You might be wondering what his diet was like as he prepared for the role.
I ate everything that I was not supposed to eat otherwise. I had samosa, vada pav, chocolate, cakes, brownies… I indulged in everything. Then when I had to lose the weight, I had a very different diet of 25 gms of upma and papaya. After gym, a glass of protein shake.”

Flab Central. Body shaming from the blog equivalent of Tiger Beat and 16 Magazines.
Remember this article, Queerty?
“Big gay men have an added exclusion,” contends Jason Whitesel, author of Fat Gay Men: Girth, Mirth, and the Politics of Stigma. “There is the exclusion that all gay people experience; then there is within-group prejudice big gay men experience because of their size.”
Antigay activists labeled Whitesel’s recent presentation of his research at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as tantamount to a discussion on “how to sodomize overweight men.”
Queerty spoke with Whitesel about the protest and the persistent problem of fat-shaming within the gay community.
Queerty: Were you surprised to learn some people were spinning your recent UCSB presentation as a discussion on “how to sodomize overweight men”?

I saw him in PK – very good movie. He’s really getting to the age where he needs to quit gaining and losing.

Not impressed with this so-called transformation at all! Not hating on this , but this is the same type of trickery that I see with men, on IG/social media, all the time. Usually it involves a before picture, and then an after pic. And the after pic is usually around 1 to 3 yrs later. And In between, steroids and other chemicals were used to achieve the after look. However, I have to give honesty credit here. I guess! No where did it it say this was a natural transformation. But I guess one can argue, that it was implied, with the, Personal trainers, nutritionist, etc.. But the biggest give away here, there was a big difference between five months and six months. His age. The capped shoulders and chest shape, size and definition. Hollywood/Bollywood all the same. full of smoke & mirrors…

Wait a second did Queerty “OMG OMG everyone needs to be respected OMG you’re anti this OMG you’re anti that” actually use the term “flab central” and in a title no less? And emailed it out to everyone no less? What’s the difference between you and those college wrestler dudes that you were attacking? Absolutely nothing. LOL

He is just my type, before more than after. BTW, kindly look up the definition of “literally.”
Jack Meoff
He’s a handsome man either way.
SportGuy
Good for him losing the fat and getting in shape!
geoker
He lost all his gray too! Amazing.

Aamir Khan is a great man. He makes films that change the world for the better: “Lagaan,” “Like Stars on Earth,” “PK,” and “3 Idiots” are 4 of the greatest movies ever made. Khan made them all.

@geoker: It looks like his hairline is lower too. The after also looks about 20 years younger, almost like a totally different guy. Losing almost 30 percent body fat in a mere five months sounds hokey too.
Charlie in Charge
For it to have been literally insane the actor would have had to have gone mad during the process. As that didn’t happen – which part of the insanity is literal?
brooklynbobby
This is on a so called “gay” blog because? I don’t get it. In fact I don’t get QUEERTY much at all anymore!

Just a pro-tip Derek de Koff, if you’re going to pretend to be a writer, then knowing the definition of “literally” will be a huge asset for you moving forward buddy.

Difference between an actor and a normal guy doing this is the actor is getting PAID for it. They also are hooked up with paid personal training, a dietician, and are kept HEALTHY while doing it.
Normal people have no means of getting this type of instant weight loss irl. Actors will tell you it’s unrealistic and they hate doing it. They do it because it’s their job.
They do not look like this in their normal lives in their off time that’s why they’re always losing weight and doing transformations. Because they like to be fat and happy when they’re not being paid to be a “muscle god”.

@geoker: Yeah how’s that possible? He must have dyed it.

You can brutalise your own body only so many times. After a while, it starts to rebel. He needs to stop doing this.

it seems that he gained all that weight for a role, so his transformation was really just him losing the weight he’d gained and getting his body back. At the end of the video he does have the look of a steroid user (not saying he is a steroid user). But I do like a buff muscle dude so I’m digging his muscle look, but I think my favorite look is what I call normal guy muscles, it’s the look a typical guy would get if he lifted weights but didn’t do steroids, its looks different on different people (where as steroid users all start to look the same) because its just an enhancement of what was already there without looking artificial. A bit of healthy maintainable muscle and a good attitude can make just about any guy sexy and attractive.
